Job Role – Assistant Accountant
- Prepare monthly financial
statements and management reports accurately and on time.
- Supervise and support junior
accounting team members in day-to-day finance operations.
- Handle tax-related matters,
including VAT, WHT, and PAYE compliance and submissions.
- Liaise with external auditors and
provide required financial documentation during audits.
- Review and verify monthly payroll
sheets for accuracy.
- Check and approve invoices,
credit notes, and debit notes in accordance with company policies.
- Circulate monthly financial
reports to Directors and Managers.
- Maintain proper accounting
records and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Perform other finance and
accounting-related duties assigned by the Managing Director or Finance
Manager.
Requirements
- Male and female candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Successfully completed CAB II
Level of ICASL (or an equivalent accounting qualification).
- Minimum 3–4 years of experience
in accounting or finance-related roles.
- Sound knowledge of accounting
principles, taxation (VAT, WHT, and PAYE), and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
and accounting software is an advantage.
- Strong analytical,
organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and
meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
