Job Duties

• Oversee and manage overall branch operations of the Pawning Department
• Ensure achievement of business targets, growth of pawning portfolio, and profitability
• Lead, supervise, and motivate branch staff to maintain high performance standards
• Ensure strict compliance with internal policies, regulatory guidelines, and operational procedures
• Monitor gold appraisal, loan disbursement, renewals, and recoveries
• Manage risk, fraud prevention, and internal controls related to pawning operations
• Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure excellent service quality
• Handle customer escalations and resolve issues professionally
• Ensure proper cash handling, documentation, and audit readiness
• Analyze branch performance and prepare management reports
• Coordinate with Head Office and support business development initiatives
• Ensure branch security, safety standards, and operational discipline are maintained

Requirements

• Male / Female
• Age below 50
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in the Pawning / Gold Loan / Finance sector
• Proven experience in a Branch Manager / Branch In Charge / Assistant Manager role
• Strong knowledge of pawning operations, gold valuation, and risk management
• Excellent leadership, people management, and decision-making skills
• Strong customer service and business development orientation
• Ability to work independently and handle high-value transactions
• Good communication skills in Sinhala & English (Tamil will be an added advantage)
• Strong analytical and reporting skills
• Willingness to work in Matale and surrounding areas
• Professional qualification in Banking, Finance, or Management will be an added advantage
• Experience in regulated financial institutions
