Chief Financial Officer (Manufacturing) Full-Time

Responsibilities 

  • To ensure the accuracy and completeness of the company’s financial statements and full compliance with all laws and regulations in all jurisdictions in which business is done 
  • To ensure strong and complete budgeting process is followed and timely approval of the company budget from the MD and Board. 
  • To ensure that proper financial governance is followed and strong controls in place to mitigate any revenue/cost leakages in the organization 
  • To provide effective day-to-day oversight of the Group’s operations, controls and financial performance. 
  • To exercise independent judgment, reasonable care, skill and diligence when carrying out their duties. 
  • To challenge and contribute constructively to the decision making process especially managing budgets, DFC and CAPEX. 
  • TO develop a stringent control mechanism to ensure proper stock control and asset management 
  • Build a strong relationship with financial institutions to ensure the best financial benefits are received from same. 
  • Responsible for providing strong functional leadership to the Company’s Finance, Tax, Treasury, ensuring that operational policies and practices are developed and monitored 
  • Develop and roll out a strong internal audit system and process to ensure perpetual audits are carried out to identify process and system gaps and take appropriate corrective action 
  • Is responsible for ensuring the Group operates sound risk management and internal control systems to safeguard stakeholders’ interests, the Group’s assets and to ensure the integrity of the Group’s financial performance and statements. 
  • Ensure good understanding of the manufacturing process and its financial control 
  • Ensure timely invoicing is done and debtor controls are in place and monitored 
  • Ensure a strong process to manage and make timely payments to creditors. 
  • Monitor and follow up on all asset insurance. 
  • Play a lead role in managing all the subsidiaries globally, ensure sound governance and prompt reporting of all legal entities within the group 
  • Oversees the long-range vision, strategy plans, and goals for the business, communicates strategies, risks and inspires others in the Company to contribute to the future vision and growth of the company. 
  • Combine operational and strategic roles, manage accounting and financial control functions, and establish a financial strategy for the profitable long-term growth of the business. 
  • Ensure that all of the company's financial practices are in line in statutory regulations and legislation 
  • Interpret complex financial information and provide updates and information as needed 
  • Treasury role is a critical role, understanding the companies risks in terms of assets and liabilities based on FX will be a key focus area along with managing risk and profiting from the same 
  • Gove strong insight on the future situation of the company inline with operational plans and strategic plans 
  • Be the right hand of MD/CEO and be able to have the ability to see problems, flag them and find solutions in advance 
  • Is expected to maintain good working relationships with other senior executives within the Group, especially within the divisions, and to provide constructive challenge to them in light of his responsibilities. 
  • Should support the Chief Executive in ensuring that management fulfils its obligation to provide the Board with: 
  • Accurate, timely, balanced and clear financials and other relevant KPIs and information in a form and of a quality that will enable it to discharge its duties effectively; 
  • The necessary resources for developing and updating the Directors’ knowledge and capabilities; 
  • To ensure the annual financial activities are carried out in an organized manner
  • External Audit and sign off by the 15th of May each year

Qualification / Exposure 

  • Degree with MBA
  • Member of CA 
  • Member of CIMA
  • Sound skills in evaluating ROI on all financial decisions 
  • Ability to negotiate with finance providers – local and international 
  • Financial Accounting background and strong controls/ governance background 
  • Good exposure to ERP systems and managing global businesses 
  • Strong treasury experience 
  • 15 years experiences in the same role with total up to 5 years in Manufacturing organization 
  • Demonstrated leadership skills/ But Hands On
