Job Duties

• Develop and implement enterprise risk management (ERM) frameworks in line with regulatory standards (CBSL guidelines, IFRS, Basel II/III).
• Identify, analyze, and mitigate financial, credit, market, operational, and strategic risks.
• Oversee credit risk management, loan portfolio quality, and risk-based pricing strategies.
• Lead the Risk Management Committee and advise senior leadership and the Board.
• Implement risk appetite, risk tolerance, and stress testing models.
• Coordinate with Compliance, Audit, and Finance teams to ensure consistent governance.
• Monitor and evaluate risk exposure levels, trends, and reporting.
• Ensure business continuity, disaster recovery planning, and crisis risk management.
• Review and approve high-value lending transactions and financing proposals.
• Ensure alignment with CBSL risk management regulations and corporate governance standards.
• Implement digital risk controls including cybersecurity, fraud prevention, and transaction monitoring.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and development of the risk management team.

Requirements

• Age Below 40
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Risk Management, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
• Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
• Professional qualifications such as CIMA, ACCA, or CA Sri Lanka are highly preferred.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in risk management within banking or financial services, with 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
• Strong understanding of Central Bank regulations, Basel guidelines, ICAAP, AML/CFT, and corporate governance.
• Experience in credit policy formulation, regulatory risk frameworks, and strategic risk advisory.
• Proven leadership, decision-making, analytical and stakeholder management skills.
