Job Duties

• Design new engineering products and processes
• Craft models and drawings of products using CAD
• Analyze prototype data and retest if needed
• Research new product ideas and methods
• Improve existing products and processes
• Ensure compliance with the industry’s safety standards
• Maintain accurate records
• Ensure products are user- and environment-friendly
• Write detailed reports
• Find creative design solutions to problems
• Present prototypes and designs to customers and project managers
• Compiles and furnishes necessary information (engineering decisions and reports of pertinent design analyses data) to document the design solution required for building of prototypes and adoption of the design with possible involvement of other functional engineers, supply management and/or supplier personnel
• Design 3D printed applications using design rules for relevant additive manufacturing processes
• Receives and reviews all design changes issued by design engineers to our company
• Participates in Design Reviews to optimize process designs
• Coordinates with the suppliers and external resources needed to design, build and document new process/products
• Provides Design for Manufacturing (DFM) input to the engineering print package
• Undertakes the pull out and/or disposal of old/revised products affected by the design change
• Updates engineering system data based on the contents of design change notices
• Evaluates and resolves problems regarding function, parts and design
• Scale up of process design as required for production

Requirements

• Male / Female
• Age below 50
• B.Sc. Eng. In the disciplines of Mechanical, Electrical or Production Engineering
• 5 Years experience  + preferred from same or similar heavy industry with hands on approach on engineering
• Design Plants and Machines as per the requirements specified by internal customers with full set of SolidWorks drawings, 3D animations and simulations.
• Design control systems for the above and implement with PLC. 
• Manage the engineering project lifecycle from concept to launch with the engagement of all stake holders.
• Troubleshooting and improvements to the existing machinery.
• Critical thinking out of the box to come out with innovative solutions to the problems.
• Problem solving and guiding subordinates to give the correct solutions quickly.
