Job Duties

• Ensure high service levels are delivered for all vessels where Grand team is appointed as the shipping agent.
• Full responsibility and ownership for service delivery on assigned vessels.
• Work closely with the other team members within operations / finance to delivery strong results.
• Coordinate with ICA/MPA/Ship Owners and other statutory bodies as required to perform the various ship husbanding tasks.
• Identify, investigate, and analyze potential operational improvement. As appropriate, based on findings make proposal for operational changes (policy, procedures, processes, etc.)

Requirements

• Male / Female
• Age below 35
• Have a minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a similar capacity in port agency operations, inclusive of all Sea Port/ Airport related agency services functions (Colombo I Galle/ Hambantota I Trinco)
• Sound knowledge in MS Office applications , internet and email
• A good knowledge of written and spoken English
• Provide timely updates to all client & service inquiries
• A pleasant disposition and a team player
• Good PR, Communication skills with a passion for work
• Shipping related education qualification would be an added advantages
• Should have a Motor bike license
• Living in or in close proximity to Colombo would be advantageous
• Be willing to learn and develop
