Job Duties

• Administer and coordinate the technical activities related to operation of the chemical and physical testing laboratories.
• Leading the team of incoming material, in-process and outgoing product quality testing.
• Review and standardize (if required) incoming materials specifications.
• Coordinate with the suppliers/any other suitable parties about the repair or calibration of instruments if needed.
• Develop and implement quality assurance programs relating to calibration and maintenance of equipment and test method validation.
• Maintain liaison with testing/product certification bodies, R&D team, Suppliers and staff to solve specific technical challenges.
• Evaluate and recommend new techniques, testing and technologies. 
• Install and maintain laboratory equipment in compliance with ISO, EN and ASTM standards.
• Work on making lab operations and reports issuing paper free.
• Troubleshoot and provide laboratory support to production and QA in production issues.
• Coordinate purchases of major capital equipment after obtaining quotations.
• Supply testing / testing result information with internal & external bodies.
• On time sample & payments arranging for external testing.
• Implement and maintain good 5S and lean practices (eliminate non-value added activities)
• Maintain quality checks on health & safety of laboratories, including biohazards and insure maintenance of the facilities according to good laboratory practices.
• Mentor and encourage team to come up with ideas, facilitate knowledge sharing within department

Requirements 

• Male / Female
• Age below 35
• Degree in Textile Technology / Material engineering from a reputed university.
• Fresher is encouraged to apply possessing a degree in textile /Material domain.
• Work experience in a textile manufacturing in Technical/R&D function will be added advantage.
• Analytical bent of mind and should possess systematic troubleshooting skills
• Self-motivated and should possess positive attitude and strong sense for teamwork and collaboration
• Autonomous and needs minimum supervision to perform duties
• Ready to go beyond the call of the duty to achieve company targets.
• Good communication skills (oral and written) needed for a wide range of knowledge levels with suppliers, customers & internal departments
• Computer literacy
