Job Duties

• Deliver comprehensive training in automotive mechanical and electrical systems, focusing on diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance of light vehicles.
• Conduct both theoretical and practical sessions to equip students with a strong foundation and hands-on skills.
• Ensure the effective delivery of concepts through engaging and interactive teaching methodologies.
• Design and develop training curriculums tailored to industry standards and advancements in technology.
• Regularly review and update training materials to incorporate the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.
• Collaborate with academic and technical teams to maintain a curriculum that meets employer and industry demands.
• Evaluate students' performance through tests, practical assessments, and project work.
• Provide personalized mentorship and career guidance to trainees to enhance their professional growth.
• Offer constructive feedback and identify areas for improvement for individual trainees.
• Maintain a disciplined and organized classroom and workshop environment.
• Oversee the safe and efficient use of tools, machinery, and other resources during training sessions.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations during practical training.

Requirements

• Male
• A degree in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering or professional certifications such as HNDE, NDES, NDT, or NVQ 4+ in Auto Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; equivalent technical coursework or in-house training will also be considered.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the automotive technical field, with expertise in diagnostics, repair, and maintenance of light vehicles, including at least 2 years in a training or teaching role.
• Comprehensive knowledge of automotive mechanical and electrical systems, with proficiency in diagnostics, repair processes, and the use of modern tools and equipment.
• Strong teaching abilities to present technical concepts effectively, manage classroom and workshop environments, and mentor trainees toward professional success.
• Fluency in Sinhala and English with the ability to teach technical and engineering subjects in both languages.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with presentation software or e-learning platforms for training purposes.
