Job Duties 

• Oversee and coordinate overall Operating Theatre (OT) operations to ensure smooth surgical workflows.
• Ensure strict adherence to sterile techniques, infection control protocols, and hospital safety standards.
• Manage OT staff scheduling, duty rosters, and workflow efficiency.
• Supervise surgical procedures to ensure patient safety, quality care, and compliance with clinical standards.
• Maintain OT inventory including surgical instruments, medical supplies, and equipment readiness.
• Ensure proper documentation of surgical records, OT logs, and compliance reports.
• Liaise effectively with surgeons, anesthetists, nursing staff, and hospital management to ensure optimal coordination.
• Lead and mentor OT nursing staff to maintain high professional standards in perioperative nursing care.

Requirements 

• Female
• Age below 40
• PHSRC qualification with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in Nursing, including at least 2 years as a Nursing Sister,
• OR
• SLMC registered Nurse with Post Basic Management qualification or B.Sc. in Nursing from a recognized institute.
• Strong knowledge of Operating Theatre procedures, surgical nursing practices, infection control, and hospital administration.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Ability to work in a high-pressure clinical environment with strong decision-making capability.
• Based in Colombo 6 — easily accessible from Wellawatte, Bambalapitiya, Dehiwala, and surrounding Colombo areas.
