Job Duties

• Provide support to senior staff in planning, executing, and monitoring research experiments and field trials.
• Defining the feasibility and profitability of a project.
• Collect and record data from field trials, greenhouse experiments, and laboratory analyses accurately and efficiently.
• Assist in the maintenance of research facilities, including greenhouse operations, field sites, and laboratory equipment.
• Conducting tests and trials, analyzing results and determining product and process development.
• Developing technical proposals.
• Collaborating with R&D partners (suppliers, technical centers, universities and laboratories)
• Defining methods, means of study and design and their implementation.
• Protecting innovations by drafting scientific studies and/or patents.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines for laboratory work, field activities, and hazardous materials handling.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture specialized in Crop-Science
• Prior experience in agricultural research, crop production, or related fields is an added advantage
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced research environment
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data collection, recording, and analysis
• Proficiency in basic computer skills and familiarity with software applications for data entry, analysis, and visualization
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels
