Job Duties 

• Finalize month-end profits for each divisions, and provide detailed reports for confirmation.
• Calculate and administer sales incentives for the sales team.
• Oversee WCA payments and ensure timely coordination with the team.
• Manage daily finance activities, including payments, IOU arrangements, and weekly open job reports.
• Perform detailed bank reconciliations across multiple accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.
• Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports, including debtor reports, collection reports, and SBU-wise profit margin reports for board presentations.
• Follow up on pending IOUs and ensure settlements are completed in a timely manner.
• Independently calculate monthly interest income and bank charges.
• Reconcile key balance sheet items such as pre-payments, refundable deposits, accrued expenses, and sales commissions payable.
• Review payment vouchers to ensure compliance before approval.
• Liaise with internal departments to gather data for financial analysis and ad-hoc reporting.
• Assist with statutory audits and ensure adherence to all financial regulations and internal controls.

Requirements

• Male/Female
• Age below 40
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Part or passed finalist (ACCA, CIMA, or CA Sri Lanka) preferred.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the shipping, logistics, or freight forwarding industry.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; advanced Microsoft Excel, word and power point skills are essential.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to interpret financial data accurately.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
• Knowledge of tax laws and statutory requirements is an advantage.
