Maintain up-to-date knowledge of export control requirements and keep abreast of changes that may impact the company’s ability to export.
Work with external customers and relevant government authorities to ensure compliance with export regulations.
Prepare international shipping documents such as bills of lading, packing lists, insurance certificates, invoices etc.,
Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, and other service providers to arrange for the safe and compliant transport of goods (perishable items / seafood), inspections, clearances, and delivery of shipments to their destination.
Monitor shipments to ensure they are delivered in accordance with requirements and timelines.
Investigate and resolve issues related to non-compliance, damaged goods, or other problems.
Keep accurate records of all transactions.
Generate reports on export activity as needed.
Collaborate with other departments to develop and improve export / procurement processes.
Liaise within the group on procurement requirements of all departments for their required materials.
Negotiate with local and foreign approved suppliers in obtaining the best prices to reduce the cost of procurement.
Identify new vendors to ensure getting more quality service and benefits to the company.
Manage inventories and maintain accurate records including supplier information.
Maintain optimum inventory levels and periodic inventory counts within the group.
Implement procedures to standardize and build internal controls as required including existing process enhancement.
Carry out periodical and regular price checks on existing as well as new suppliers and compare them with market prices to ensure the attainment of business objectives and maintain a smooth procurement function to provide an effective service.
Reports to Senior Management on export and procurements related activities on a regular and ad-hoc basis.
Requirements
Male/Female
2-3 years of experience as an Export / Procurement Officer in the fast-moving consumable goods (FMCG) industry is mandatory.
Age should be below 35 years.
Possess adequate knowledge of exportation of seafood.
Experience in handling perishable items / cargo.
Knowledge in HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point of food production)
Good command of English language, both verbal and written.
Well conversant in MS office applications, especially Excel.
Smart, pleasant, and outgoing personality with excellent negotiation, problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work in teams and make decisions independently.
Willingness to be flexible in work arrangements and adherence to meet tight deadlines
